New this month
Release
v1.10.0–Announcements module and fishing reel streaks
- The Announcements module is now available — connect any RSS or Atom feed to a channel and every new post lands in Discord automatically. Enable the built-in NOS Announcements source to get NOS releases posted straight to your server.
- Fishing now has a reel streak: land consecutive skill bites to build a streak that boosts your drop chance on skill bites. Your streak carries into your next session, so every run builds on the last.
- The /memagine live preview is now more stable — connection errors no longer interrupt your meme session.
Release
v1.9.0–Meme template sorting and private inventory
- The template dropdown in /memagine is now sorted alphabetically and shows larger previews, making it easier to find the right template.
- The /inventory command is now ephemeral — only the member who runs it sees their own collection.
Release
v1.8.0–Live preview in /memagine
- The /memagine generator now shows a live preview of your meme as you type the caption, before you confirm and post it to the channel.
Release
v1.7.0–New bite types in /fish
- Two new bite types were added: a pure-luck gamble catch with 50/50 odds, and a competitive roll during multiplayer sessions where all anglers race for the best result.
Release
v1.6.0–Loot system rework: weighted rarity table
- The loot system was reworked to use a two-stage weighted table: a single drop chance gate decides whether anything drops, then a shared rarity weight determines which tier — replacing the previous per-rarity proc system.
- The overall drop chance was reduced to prevent loot from dropping too frequently. Patch v1.6.1
Release
v1.5.0–Rarity colors and drop system overhaul
- Rarity colors were updated to match Discord's built-in color palette, so members can recognize drop tiers at a glance.
- The drop system was switched from individual item spawn weights to a shared rarity roll, making drop rates consistent across all items.
Release
v1.4.0–Lootables & multiplayer /fish added
- Lootable drops were added: random creatures and items appear in chat for members to collect and show off.
- Multiplayer /fish sessions were added: several members can fish together, each receiving their own loot at the end.
- After a /fish session ends, each participant receives a private loot reveal showing exactly what they caught.
- Fixed stability issues that could cause active fishing sessions to end unexpectedly or behave incorrectly. Patch v1.4.1
- Fixed a delay where loot drop images took too long to appear in Discord after a drop. Patch v1.4.2
- Fixed an inconsistency where some items used a different rarity system — all items now use the shared rarity roll. Patch v1.4.3
- Item icons in loot cards are now served at a smaller file size for faster loading. Patch v1.4.4
- Loot reveal embeds now display caught items as thumbnails instead of full-size images. Patch v1.4.5
Release
v1.3.0–Added /memagine: custom caption memes
- The /memagine command was added: choose a template from the full Imgflip library, type your own caption in a web form, and the finished meme is posted back to the channel.
Release
v1.2.0–Duplicate filtering for /cat, /bird, and /meme
- /cat, /bird, and /meme now track recently shown results and avoid repeating them, so each roll returns something different.
Release
v1.1.0–Added /gtn: multiplayer Guess the Number
- The /gtn multiplayer guessing game was added. Members take turns guessing a secret number, and results are tracked on a persistent leaderboard.
Release
v1.0.0–NOS launches
- The bot is live: invite it, enable the modules you want from the dashboard, and go.
- Leaderboards track chat and reaction activity, with all-time and monthly rankings.
- Starboard automatically pins the most-reacted messages in a dedicated channel.
- /meme, /cat, and /bird slash commands for instant random content.
